Poland’s Wojciech Szewczyk is a two-time world 10-ball champion. In Saturday’s final of the 2026 Iwan Simonis WPA Men’s 10-Ball World Championship at Phú Thọ Indoor Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, he beat Albania’s Eklent Kaçi 3–1 in sets to take the $80,000 winner’s cheque from a $300,000 purse — with Kaçi collecting $40,000 as runner-up.
Midday we only had the final set; tonight the crown is on Szewczyk’s head. He was already the 2022 world 10-ball champion. Kaçi, a two-time former champion (2021, 2023), could not force a deciding set.

At the IEPF World Eight-Ball Championships in Morocco, Donegal’s Shaun Sharkey is into the men’s singles semi-final against Northern Ireland’s Declan Brennan, listed for 18:45 Irish/BST Saturday and streaming on the Ultimate Pool Association YouTube channel. As of this evening filing the SF result was not yet publicly scored — check the stream for the live board (Sharkey’s earlier 9–7 quarter-final comeback against Zac Cooper already set up the tie).
England’s youth and senior sides keep the home interest high: England B Under-23s (including Lancashire’s Jack Crank) edged Malta 8–7 in Friday’s playoff to reach the U23 semis against Australia, while England Men and Ladies are also into their team semis.
