Marrakech — Sharkey vs Brennan tonight
Sharkey faces Northern Ireland pro Declan Brennan in Saturday’s semi-final at 18:45 local, streamed on the Ultimate Pool Association YouTube channel. A former Irish singles champion and European runner-up, this Marrakech run is among his strongest yet in a field drawn from as far as New Zealand and Australia. Ireland’s men’s team have also progressed into the team knockouts; Donegal juniors Conan Gibbons and Lochlann Turner are in the under-23 ranks. The championship at Aqua Mirage Resort runs through 27 September.
World 10-Ball — Szewczyk into the final; Kaçi–Filler still live
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City, Wojciech Szewczyk booked a final berth at the Iwan Simonis WPA Men’s 10-Ball World Championship, eliminating Sanjin Pehlivanovic 2–0 in sets (4–0, 4–2) per Inside Spin’s Saturday update. The other semi — Eklent Kaçi vs Joshua Filler — was 1–1 after the first two sets (Kaçi 4–2, Filler 4–2) with no winner yet at filing. Final day of the scheduled window (19–26 Sep); no invented later racks.
