Agastya Mittal of Mumbai’s Otters Club became the youngest player to take a junior/sub-junior triple crown at the Maharashtra State Billiards & Snooker Championships, staged at Khar Gymkhana. He swept gold in sub-junior snooker, sub-junior billiards and junior billiards — the last of those against older competitors.

The snooker final was the flourish. Mittal beat Dev Jaisingh 3–0 (best of five) with frame scores 86–63, 70–30 and 53–33, per IANS. Sub-junior billiards went his way in a four-player round-robin. The release landed Tuesday; the story still reads like a headline for anyone tracking India’s junior pipeline ahead of a busy autumn.
