A total of 40 players contested the competition in Brazil’s second-most populous city and former professional Figueiredo was a strong favourite after lifting the event one title back in June and following this up with both the Pan-American Open and Seniors crowns earlier in the year.

A quartet of 2-0 wins saw the 2024 World Seniors Snooker Championship winner top his group comfortably before adding further back-to-back whitewash victories over fellow countrymen Cleber Junqueira and Fabiano Silva to reach the final day.

A last four meeting with Rayan Menechini, who had beaten Luciano Sehnem 3-1 to go a step further than his event one run, proved to once again be comfortable for Figueiredo who ran out a 4-0 victor.

In a repeat of the final of the first event of the campaign, C. Menechini would be the opponent in the title match after he overcame Renato Da Mata (3-0), Jesus Oliveira (3-1) and Dhiones Arent (4-2) in the knockout stages.

Back in the June, it was Figueiredo who won their final meeting by a 5-1 scoreline and there was once again only one winner in Rio de Janeiro as the 48-year-old romped to a 5-0 victory to secure his latest success.

Event three of the WPBSA Q Tour Americas series will take place in Toronto, Canada on 10-12 January 2026.
