Judd Trump crafted the ninth 147 break of his career during a 5-2 defeat of On Yee Ng at the Xi’an Grand Prix.
The world number one made a perfect break in the fifth frame of his encounter with three-time Women’s World Champion On Yee. He’s now in line to pick up the £5,000 high break prize.
It’s the 229th maximum in snooker history, taking the tally for the season to 12. That’s only three short of the all-time record of 15 in one campaign.
Trump also composed breaks of 100, 94 and 55 in the win and will play former UK and Masters champion Matthew Stevens next.
