The World Nineball Tour are excited to announce the Jayson Shaw Junior Open returns for its third edition, taking place alongside the UK Open Pool Championship from 9-10 May 2025 at the Telford International Centre, Telford, England.
$10,000 prize fund on offer
Tournament dates: May 9-10, 2025
Open to juniors aged 17 and under
Named after the three-time Mosconi Cup MVP, the tournament will feature a 32-player single-elimination format, giving young talents the opportunity to compete on one of the sport’s biggest stages. Young players can anticipate an electrifying competition reminiscent of last year’s thrilling final, where Maks Benko claimed the title with a 9-4 victory over Sonny Haegmans.
The World Nineball Tour remains committed to fostering the next generation of players and expanding junior opportunities within the World Nineball Tour. The Jayson Shaw Junior Open builds on this vision, providing a world-class platform for emerging talents to develop and shine.
Onboard Sportswear will provide each participant with a free custom Jayson Shaw Junior Open jersey, ensuring they step into the arena looking and feeling like true professionals as they compete alongside the UK Open Pool Championship, running from 6-11 May 2025.
Juniors competing in the Jayson Shaw Junior Open will not be eligible to play in the main UK Open Pool Championship due to scheduling conflicts. However, as part of their entry, they will receive a guest pass and three additional tickets for the days they compete, allowing them to witness the world’s top professionals in action and gain valuable insight into elite-level play.
Entry will cost $100, which will be refunded upon completion of the event, provided participants take part.
