Aaron Hill just turned a Scottish Open Qual Round 2 morning into a highlight reel.
The Irishman [33] beat Poland’s Antoni Kowalski [113] 4–2 at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester — and he did it with three centuries. Frame scores: Kowalski opened with a 90; Hill answered 139; Kowalski took the third; then Hill unloaded 121, an 87 (56), and closed with a 100. That is three tons in six frames, and Hill is through to the last 64 of the BetVictor Scottish Open qualifiers.
It is the first confirmed Round 2 finish of the day. Three other morning tables were still live as this went to press — Heathcote vs Thailand’s Chatchapong Nasa, Scott Donaldson vs Mitchell Mann, and Ben Mertens vs Ukraine’s Iulian Boiko — so treat those scores as in progress until snooker.org locks them.
