Ali Carter fired in the fourth 147 break of his career during his last 32 clash with Aaron Hill at the BetVictor English Open in Brentwood.
The Captain crafted his perfect run in the fourth frame of the match to move 3-1 ahead. It was his first 147 break since the 2021 British Open and puts him in line to split the £5,000 high break prize with his opponent Hill, who made a maximum earlier in the week.
Despite having £2,500 snatched from him, Hill regained his composure and rallied to come from behind and win 4-3 to progress.
It’s the 227th official 147 break in snooker history and the 10th of the season so far.
